Fare Well

Mid-day in the Land of Fiction. Five silent figures stood waiting on a small
hilltop. A groaning sound filled the air, and a blue box with a flashing
light on top appeared. A man with black, wavy hair popped out, followed by a
lady in surgical garb.

"Well, Grace," the 8th Doctor said, "we're here. Now you'll see what was so
important that I had to pull you out of surgery."

In short order, six other TARDISes appeared, and their respective Doctors
emerged as well, along with their companions.

"Well, this is a fine to-do," one of the Doctors complained. "All of me here,
including my future selves I might add, but one of me is missing."

Just then, a loud wheezing sound filled the air, and the familiar blue police
box appeared slightly higher up on the hill than the rest. An old man
emerged, accompanied by a girl that each Doctor recognized as his
granddaughter.

The eighth Doctor stepped forward and said, "Sir, I-the-We have taken a poll
and I-the-We ask that I-the-You, exclusively, do the talking."

The First Doctor nodded. "I am glad that I agree with me. Come. It
is time."

The thirteen Time Lords, eight of which were known as the Doctor, the other
five having not yet reached that stage, followed by all the companions,
walked around the hill and approached a non-descript brick building. In
front of the building, sat a young lady with her head in her hands. A sign
carved into the building read "Alt.DrWho.Creative Story Archive". There was
a smaller, hand-written sign on the door that read "Closed until further
Notice". The young lady took no notice of the large group.

The Doctor cleared his throat and began. "Allesandra, I, and all of me and
my companions have come to pay homage to you. For you are the Keeper of
the Sacred Archive of Stories, the Guardian of the Knowledge, and the
Protector of my History.

"You have selflessly dedicated much of your time and effort to the
successful operation of the Archive, and expected, and unfortunately
recieved, no thanks.

"Now you wish to step down from your post, as it has taken a great deal
out of you, and provided little recompense. I will not interfere. I have
come only to thank you foryour hard work and dedication on my behalf.
Indeed, all of the realm known as Adwc and the realm known as Radw have
come to pay their respect." And he gestured to the hilltop, where there
was a great deal of people, including the famous Kate Orman and Becky "Da
Moderator" Dowgiert.

The Doctor concluded, "And so, from myself, all of me, all of my companions,
and all of the authors and readers, We thank you for all of your toil.
It has not gone unnoticed."

And with that, he gave Allesandra a hug and led his group back to their
respective TARDISes where they promptly returned to their proper time
- although slightly more somber than before. The hill was empty.

Slowly, Allesandra lifted her head and gave a small, sad, smile in the
direction of the Archive.

Above the hill, a new day was dawning.

End...?
