Nyssa leaped off the railing, caught the light fixture, and swung out
into the common room, but there was no escape. Blade clattered
off blade as the redhead backed her against, then onto a table.
Rapiers flashed too quickly for eyes to follow, then the battle-
crazed Trakenite sagged to her knees, a swordpoint against her

"You've a bad habit of parrying in seconde," explained her
opponent, but Nyssa merely grimaced.

The violence over, the Proprietor rushed out, grabbed the older
woman by the arm, and raised it over her head. "The winner," he
announced, "Larrissa Ashford! That's Larrissa Ashford over
Psycho Nyssa in three minutes, twenty seconds for those keeping
score! Next will be a mixed-doubles match, with Lo-Shon and
Count Danik versus Setsuna Sakurazaki and Kastchei!"

At the door, Polly could only shake her head in wonderment at the
lengths some people would go to in order to drum up business.
Granted, Karaoke Night and Crossover Poker Night hadn't quite
done the trick, but whoever heard of 'Swashbuckling Saturdays'?
At any rate, door-warding was refreshingly easy tonight, thanks to
the new 'partner' she wore on her hip.
